AUCKLAND, Last night. Mr H. R. Jenkins, who resigned the Parnell seat in the House of Representatives, intends to join "the Reform League, and has intimated Iris willingness toabide by tbe result of the ballot hy which the official Reform crin- ■ didate will be selected. Thus, if Mr Jenkins. is not chosen as the official Reform candidate by a conference of delegates to he convened for that pur?ose. he will not be a candidate for tbe y-election. All parties are actively preparing, and althouglx many names are mentioned no candidates have been selected yet.
