AN INTERESTING TRIP
ROTAR1ANS AT TIMBER MILL. ' VISIT TO OHURAKURA. Yesterday about 40 memhers of the Hastings Rotary Club and their wives visited the Ohurakura mill at the invitation of Rotarian John Holt. The party indulged in a delightful picnic in the bush by the side of a stream and in the midst of charming surroundings. The yisit to the mill, wliich was in full.operation, proved very interesting. and after the inspection of the mill the party was" taken on the railway to the heavy bush on tlie hill, where interest was tak^n 111 the log hauling over the deep chasm on wire ropes and big tree felling. The native bush itself _was_, bf course, a source of never-ending mter. est. . \ Hot water was kindly provided for the. picnickers and everything was done by the mill manager to make the visit as happy as possible. Chief Rotarian F. S. Budd, in a short speech, thanked Rotarian Holt and his manager and staff for their great kindness in making the trip possible, Rotarian Holt responding,
