HAVELOCK FOOTBALL
MEETING OF RUGBY CLUB. At the meeting of Havelock Football Club, wliieh was held iu tlie Fire Station last evening, Mr W. H. Ladbrook presided over a very good attenuance. A letter is to be forwarded to the Hawke's Bay Rugby Union suggesting that a third grade team should be entered in the competitions. The followiug officers were elected : — Patron, Mr H. Sanders ; president. Mr W. Ladhrook ; vice-presidents, Admiral Lawson, Dr. Reeve. Messrs W. N. Barron, L. Drummond, G. F. Roach, H R. von Dadelszen, A. Toop, Maurice Chamhers, Ma son Chambers, J.- Chambers, J. R. MoKenzie, A. E. Greenwood and H. Slingshy; club cantain, Mr E. F. Leicester; coach, Mr L. Cooper ; committee, Messrs J. Carmiehael (chairma.u). P. H. Leigh, L. Cooper and E. F. Leicester and J. Beaumont. Mr_ J. Beaumont donated £1 for a "nractice hall. and as many at the meeting honght tielcets for honorary memhers at 5s ea "ti the funds were materinllTT increased. The Hnh was very fortunate in se-. niring Mr L. Coouer for a coach.. * The first practice match will he held 011 the domain on Saturday next at 2.30 p.m.
