Napier Veterans v. Eskdale. The Napier Veteraus' cricket tearn played the annual match against Eskdale at Eskdale on Saturday afternoon last, the game resulting in a win for the Veterans by six runs on the first innings. It is a coincidonce that last year's match resulted in a win for the Veterans by six wickets. Th© Veterans made 55, of which Evans 13 and Mackinnon 11 were th© chief scorers. Bowling -for Eskdale Ellis took five wickets for 27 runs, Brierly one for 19, and Amyes one for 3." Eskdale replied with 49 runs; Barrie 10 and Amyes 23, the wickets being"- divided "between Benson fiv© -for 19, Erater tWO for 14, Fayen oue for 5, and Tait two for nil.
