SATURDAY 'S BIG AIR PAGEANT. GATHERING AT LONGLANDS. The most interesting and sensational sporting event of tlie year, the air pageant of the Hawke's Bay aird East Coast Aeiu CJub, vjill take place at the Longlands aerodrome on Saturday liext. The puhlic of this district have already experienced the pleasures of one pageant, but it was alipost n minor ex-' periment in compai'ison with what is to be offered on Saturday. This yea% eighteen pilots, including several of #}ie most notable in New Zealand, will take part, and an equal numher of machines will compete. .Oue of the chief events will be the contest for the N.Z. Light Aeroplane blue ribbon event — the Newbigin Cup, , which is open to professional pilots. There will be formation flights and exhibitions of crazy and tnck flying by the Dominion's most e'xpert pilots. The pageant begihs a,t 11 a.m. with events for locally trained pilots. The charges for admittance will be two shillings for adults and one shilling for children. There will be - a charge of two shillings for cars.
