: CHINESE BANDITS AGAIN AT WORK. Fears Entertained - For Safety.
Received This Pay. Noon. SHANGHAI, March 30. The same bandit gang which captured and murdered tbree Finnish women missionax-ies recently is reported to bave captured tliree otlxers at Yxxanchow, West Kiangsi. The local offices ,of tbe Cbina Inland Mission aro in_ receipt of a message stating that brigands marched on the town and cax'ried off Mr and Mrs Porteous (Britisli) and Miss Negemmell (Amei'ican). Two other women and a man managed to escape. The fate of the captives is unknown, but grave fears are entei-tained in view of tlie band's previous history.
