OWNER-PILOT SLIGHTLY INJURED. MACHINE BADLY DAMAGED. : ' - . i
MASTERTON, Last night. An all metal Avro-Ayian aeroplane belongmg to A. V. Jury, of Papawai, Greytown, crashed on Saturday afternoon when landfng at Willowburn, the property of the owner. The machine encounfered an air pocket after the engine had been cut off and fell about 150 feet, striking some willows. The lower '..wing then struck a bank and the plaiie came to re$t against a stump, 'but did not capSize. Jury was struck by a willow brancb md had some teeth knocked out wheu fLrown against the windscreen, but ">therwise escaped, although rendered •inconscious for about ten minutes. The machine was very badly damag"d, although the engme appears to -be intact-. ' •
