Sir. — "New Zealander," in your issue of the 2nd inst. complains of the attacks made on the 1'rime Minister by Reform dailies. These attacks are only to be expected from people whose breadth of vision does not extend beyond a narrow track leading from their back yard to their offiees, which they have traversed for half a centur.y and which apparently becomes narrower. The Prime Minister has summed these people up by duhbing them political perverts and places himself on a plane above them. and rightlv so, for this country is fortunate indeed in having at the head of the Government one of the greatest statesmen the world has produced and \ feel sure the vast majority of the people will join with me in expressing the wisb that^ he will long be spared to carrv on the good work he has done and will continue to do for this oomitrv — I am, etc..
