CHURCH SERVICES
The Rev. C. H. Gould . commences hig ministry at . Napier South Ghurchi to-morrow, preachihg at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. . • . _ At the Citadel, Carlyle street, the services will be taken by the veteran ! Salvationists. Many of thirty years' service in the Salvation Army will. take part, and it is anticipated that these special services will he unusually > interesting. Experiences of many years' Christian service will. it is hoped make an appeal to the younger generation. Old friends and ex-Salvation-ists are particularly invited to attend. veterans' day. A cordial 'iuvitation to a special service of tribute iu the Congregational C'liui'ch is extended to .all old friends of .the late Mrs- H. W. J. Milter, whio was the wife of the first minister .of the church and a stalwart in the cause of temperanoe. The morning topic will bd the question, "What' About the End?" and the preacher for both services will be_the Rev. Erank de Lisle. At St. Augustine's Chnrch to-morrow fche services will "be ai.,8 a.m., Holy Communion ; at 11 a.m., Choral Eucharist, the siibject of the sermon being "Christ's Tahernaele." ■ In the evening at 6-45 the recital will be "Fantasia in A" hy Cesar Frank. At 7 the subject of the fermon will he the second of a special series of messages from the' m'ophetc for I/ent. The Anthem will he 'furn Thy Face," by Atwood. The services at St. Luke's Mission will he at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.
