APPEAL IN HASTINGS.
LARGE INCREASE ON LAST YEAR Between £75 and £80 was realised on Poppy Day in Hastings, when aimost the whcle supply of 1500 poppies was sold. This total reresented an increase of aimost £50 on last year's sum, due largely to the fact that, althougb the price of the poppies was one shilling each, many people gave larger sums for them. The appeal was organised by the Hastings R.S.A., assisted by the Hastings Women's Community CIuo. Tbe sellers did great business all day.
