ST. PAUL'S CHURCH. A oombined service in the St. Paul's Schoolroom was presided over hy the Rev. J. A. Asher, assisted hy members of the Napier Ministers' Association. The awful borror and ghastliness of war was vividly dealt with by the Rev. W. G.' S^de, who said that it was nothing less than "wholesale mnrder, legalised and justified on the grounds of patriotism, hut cruel ghastly murder nevertheless.'' In. dwelling upon

the sacrifice that had been made on that memorable first Anzao Day, Mr Slade said that it had brought people nearer to the Cross whose shadow fell slantwise across time and eternity for if there was anything in ideals worth living for it was worth dying for. ■ ADDRESS AT ST. AUGUSTINE'S. A fair-sized congregation assembled at St. Augustine's Church last evening, when the vicar, the Rev. A. Hodge, gave an appropx-iate address. Tlie remainder of the service was also suitable to the occasioxx. A service was held at 10 a.m., when Holy Communion was celebrated. /
