WORLD VTDE KEOORD SALES. Presiding at the thirty-third annual general meeting of Bovril, Limited, held on February 19tb at River Plate House, Eondon, the chairman, Lord Lulce, said that it was with pleasure that they meb the sbareholders again and had the opportunity tu present to them such a very satisfactory report and set of accounts. He had told them at the last meeting that each year sinoe the war had shown an increase in the export of Bovril, and again, he could say that m 1929 oversea saies had exceeded 1928 and its predccessoi's. They had everv reason to he pleased with their world- wide saies progress. One "of the prohlems with which Great Britain would be faced in the not far distant future would he that o-f securing adequate supplies of first qualitv heef. In a few years, when the United States entered the South American market as a buyer, thereby reducing British supplies from that source, Great -Britain would have to fall baek on either increased home or oversea British production. ENCOURAGE DOAEINIONS TO RAISE HIGH QUALITY STOCK. It was important, therefore, that serions steps should be taken to increase the quantity and improve the quality of the beef the Dominions could in future spare -for us, especially in Australasia and South Africa, as it was only in the Southern Hemisphere that suitable pasttirage was available*
