NEW PLYMOUTH, This day. The annual meeting of the Taranaki Trotting Club was held to-day, the weather heing perfect. ■ The attendance and the track were good. Results : — Novice. — 1 Manco (Gerrard) 1, 2 Prince Pedro 2, 6 Oliver Thorpe 3. Scratched: Hemlock, Hero. Won hy half a length and two and a-half lengths. Time, 3min. 35secs. Waitara. — 2 Einoro (Corrigan) 1, 3 Nelson Girl 2, 1 Windchat 3. All started. , Won hy two and a-half lengths, with third four lengths back. Time, 3min. 44 3-5sees.
