O'Brien plays the role of a West Point football hero, an All-Ameriean half-back, and Jannev that of his yonnger lirotlier, a midshipman atAmiapolis. Jahnev realises his love for Helen Chandler onl.v after he appears to be about to lose her to his famous kinsman. Two of Annapolis' most famous songs, "Anehors Aweigh5' and "The Navy Blue and Gold," wliic-h are. used by the United States Navjfl Academy students in rooting ior their crews, foot'ball teams and other atldetes, are heard in "Salute.55 The climax is reaclied in an Armv-Navv football game. at the Polo Grounds, New York.
