APPRECIATION.
"FARMER."
To fhc Kditor.i Sir,— Permit me to congratulate you upon the farming notes which have been appearing daily in your columns during the past week under the nom de plume of "Straggler." This feature as it seems to me will fill a long-felt want as far as tbe farming community in Hawke's Bay is concerned. The detailed reports of stock saies, published' on the day of the auction, should prove a great hoon, of inestimable value to the farmers of the district and there is a plentitud6 of infceresting information as to stock and pasture eonditions in all parts oi Hawke's Bay in the other articles. ^ 1 feel siire that the feature will add considerably to the popularity of your valued paper amongst the farming community . of the province. It is always interesting and valuable for the farmers in one part of the district to hear the opinions and experiences of tlieir brotlier farmers elsewhere and in acting as a medium for this interchange of ideas you are performing a valuable and helpful work. — I am. etc...
