The British Medical Association propcses a partially State-suppoi-ted scheme whereby medical services may bo completely co-ordinated to supply the commuxiity with every means for the prevention and cure of disease, including the family doctor, consultant and specialist, nurses, opticians, midwives, masseurs, (hospitals and convalescent homes, dentists, pathologists, pharmaceutists and ambulances, the nation to be classified into groups of those willing and able to pay for all services, others on scales according to ability to pay, and an entirely free service.
