CHRISTCHURCH, Last night. Alan Campbell (12.9), of Oamaru beat Jim Broadfoot (11.11), of Auckland in a 15-round contest for the New Zealand heavy-weight title. The bout went the full distance, but was not up to championship standard. Campbell easily o'utclassed the Aucklander who weathered a heavy storm. Broadfoot should have been knocked out time and again, but Campbell had no knoek-out punch.
