DELHT, May 30. British poliee officials and civilians at Dacca, East Bengal, and Howrah, near Calcutta, were attacked by riotous mohs yesterday. The superintendent . of poliee at Dacca was thrown down and beaten and his revolver taken. He was then throivn into 'a ditc-h. Euvopeans who attempted to rescue him were severely beaten . Railway waggons at Howrah wpre set on fire and the station bomharded with stones. The poliee fired revolvers and disperscd the angry mob. Railway officials and some poliee were severely injured by stones. The Rangoon riot's death roll is now 168, and 670 Indians were injured. Three fatal assaults on Burmaiis occurred yesterday. Leaders and Buddbist priests are endeavouring to restore peace.
