TURNING THE LAND OVER. HINTS FOR HAWKE'S BAY ORCHARDISTS. Hawke's Bay orchardists who intend doiug further planting this year should get the land turned , over as soon as there is sufficient moisture to enahle good plougliing to be done. This should then he worked down towards the end of July if the land is not too wet. Thorough working js essential to get the land in good order before planting. All planting should be done before the end of August. In connection -with the establishment of a new orchard plautation, growers should always consider the important question of shelter, and shelter trees should he planted at the same time as the orchard, so that by the time the trees eome into bearing they will _ bd pi-otected from high winds.
