DUNEDIN, Tliis day. The Dunedin Joekey Club's Winter meeting opened in lovely weather ou a good traok. There was a big attendance. Besults : — Hunters' Handicap. — 5 Kuku (E. MeKenzie) 1/2 Bed Heather 2, 1 French Fleet 3. Scratched : Loughrea, Hypcrion. Won by twelve lengths, ten lengths between second and third. Time, omin 36 4-5sec-s. Brighton Handicap. 1 Banelagii (A. E. Ellis) 1, 9 Fair Exchange 2, S Impertinenco 3. Scratched : Starshooter, Salnxo Salar, Sapient, Sentinel Lad. Won by a lengtli and a lialf, with a head between second and third. Time, lmin 43secs. Birthday FTandicap — 5 Red Sea (L. Ellis) 1, 2 Waterline 2. 7 Camisader 3. All started. Won by three-qnarters of a lengtli. Time, 2min 37 4-5secs. Otago Steoples. — 1 Top Gear (W. Cooper) 1, 7. Nightraid 2, 5 Double Souit 3. All started. Won by two lengths. Double Soult was the only other to finisli lialf a furlong away. Time, 7min. 18 2-5sec.
