STRONG TONE APPARENT.
LONDON, May 29. At the wool saies 8146 bales were offered, including 4042 New Zealand. About 7300 were sold. Tliere ; was a moderate. supplv of greasy merinos and a good supply of scoureds and all New Zealand sorts. The tone was strong, with general bidding, and prices were maintained. Saies : New Zealand greasy crossbreds. Nireaha, top lld, average lld; Piako, top lld, average llgd; comeback Tirohanga, top 1'3 '.d, average I3d. At Bradford prices" were sh'ghtly easier for future business but spot lots were scarce and quoted at a premium. Quotations : Sixty-fours 29 id, 60' s 2Sd. 56' s 22dr 50's ISJd, 46's 16d. 40' s 15|d.
