Despite very boisterous week-end weather three visiting aeroplanes of the Hawke's Bay and East Coast Aero Club went up on Sunday and did some spectacular solo and formation flying leaving for home in the evening in a heavy rain squall. In making _ its boast that tbe concert to be given in the Cosmopolitan Hall, Napier, to-morrow night will he the finest array of talent ever presented in Napier, the Hawke's Bay Radio Society, which has arranged the concert as a compliihentary eifort to inark the anniversary of the opening of station 2ZH, Napier, has good fonndation for its boast. That such is tlie case may be gathered from the fact that the Hastings Orphans' Club orchestra of over 30 players has consented to play four selections. The M.A.C. string hand will appear, and the Orphans' Harmonicn Band, the only one of its kind in Hawke's Bay, will make its first public appearance. Songs will be given by Mrs^ Barley, who has heen lieard from 2YA, Wellington, Miss Steele, L-A.B., Mr R. Scott, A.T.C.L., aud Mr C. Winspear, all of whom are vocalists of high merit. vSongs at the piano -will be rendered with ukulele accompaniment, and Miss M. Hawthorne, A.T.C.L., will be lieard in elocutionary numbers. Mr V. Mummery and his violin will be present, and Mr A. Buckley will give saxophone solos. Witbout any doubt, it is really a wondorful programme, and with tbe admission charges at 2s and ls 6d great value is offered . Holders of 2s tickets will be' entitled to a reseryed seat, but as the seating capacity of tlie Cosmopolitan Hall is somewhat _ limited wise patrons will secure their tickets early at C. B. Han, sen's, Dalton street, 5 Napier. For the winter. — All rubber shoes, golf shoes, a verv useful shoe at 14s fid. Goloshes and footholds from 4s 6d F. ,Thorp and Co., Hastings street, Napier.*-
