THE BIG CARGO VESSEL WAIHEMO is here seen at the Napier Breakwater. She came direct to Napier with 10,000 tons of American goods, a large portion of which is for Hawke's Bay. The Waihemo came in at low water, drawing 23ft., berthed without the slightest difficulty, and has since been unloading expeditiously. It is largely in consequence of the apathy of the sheep-farmers of Hawke's Bay that the whole of. the meat and wool' produced in the province' is not exported from this point, a subject which is dealt with more fully in to-day's leading article.
