BODY FOR SCIENCE
PROFESSOR'S WISH FULFILLED, The fulfilment of one of tlie three last requests made hy the late Professor H. H. Turner, Savilian Professor of Astronomy at Oxford, lias been made possible. Professor Turner, who died in Stockliolm, requested tliat his body should he nsed for scientific purposes, and he left his body to tlie Stockholm Hosjpital. His sccond request, liowever, precluded the liosiptal from accepting the trust. He desired tliat no ceremony, religious or civil, sliould he used in connection witli his burial. Swedish law directs tliat a ceremony of some kind must follow death. The Stockliolin Hospital, therefore, comniunicated witli the London Hospital, who agreed to accept tlie professor's body. The body enclosed in a leadeu coffiu, duly arrived at London Hospital. Tlie professor's third wisli was that' his frieuds sliould drink to his meuiory. He added that lie preferred that they sliould do so in strong ale.
