TAKAPAU FARMER'S CLAIM. DEATHS OF WlFE AND SON.

PALMERSTON N., This day. Unusual circumstances surrounded a case being heard before Mr JusticeReed in the Supreme Court, in which Peter Olaf Pedersen, a farmer, of Takapau, is proceeding against Barraud and Abraham, Ltd., for the recovery of £563. _ It is alleged that plaintiff's son, aged 11, was knocked down hy a car driven hy an employee of the defendant firm, and that plaintiff's wife, who witnessed tlie accident, received such a shock that she died some months later. Plaintiff claimed for hospital, medical and funeral expenses, also general darnages for the loss of his wife.
