"In the Headlines," the picture at the Munieipal Theatre to-niglit, teUs of a star reporter ivho gets on to a double murder joh, but loses interest when he is detailed to teacli a girl tlie finer points of the news-hunting game. He gives the girl all his attention, and in due couvse has a quarrel ivith her. This sees him fly to the liquor, and despite the entreaties of the editor he resigns his post. The editor gets the girl on the mat, explaining things to her, and the break is soon mended. Meantime she has picked up a "sob story" on the murder, and when the boy comes back to get a real scoop they sit down to tuni out the front-page story themselves. Grant Withers provides a fine performance, and sliows promise of bigger things, while Marion Nixon does liicely in the feminin© leading role. Clyde Cook, tlie Australian, makes a real hit. as a comedy press photograplier.
