BUILDING RETURNS

FIGURES FOR HASTINGS. MONTH OF NOVEMBER. Sixteen building permits were issued in Hastings during last montli, of a total value of £5881. These were made up of two dwellings (£1475), four additions to dwellings (£335), five motor sheds (£235), one garage (£3395), four additions to business premises (£441). For tlie corresponding month of 1929 3C pemiits to the value of £16,523 were issued. A total of 160 permits have been issued since A.pril 1, of a value of £54,124. For the corresponding period of 1929, 222 permits of a value of £127,764 were given. One infectious disease case was reported during the month. In 1929 two cases were reported.
