HASTINGS CITIZENS' BAND
CONCERT AT EBBETT PARK. AN ENJOYABLE OUTING. Yesterday afternoon, the Hastings Citizens' Band, under the baton of Mr C. Bryant, rendered a most enjoyable musical programme in Ebhett Park, and tbat the people living in the vicinity of this park appreciated the visit, was proved hy the large attendance, and also hy the hearty applause which greeterl each item. The concert was- 'a suhsidy- efforfithhd no collection was taken up. HASTINGS B0YS' BAND FIRST PUBLIC APPEARANCE. MEETS WITH SUCCESS. Last night, the Hastings Boys' Band, a' comhination "which has evolved from the Iat© Militaiy Band, made its first appearance before the public and presented a programme in Queen's Square. Under the baton of Mr A. Young, the boys acquitted themselves vei-y creditably and demonstrated that with .a little more pxporience and practice, they will develop into a veiy worthy comhination. The public, who attended in full force,_ greatly^ appreciated the effort, and in addition to their hearty applause, contributed £6 19s Sd to the band's collection hoxes.
