AN EXPLANATION
APPLICATIONS FOR JUNIOR TYPISTS. In connection with the paragraph which appeared last Friday stating that there were no local applicants for the position of junior sliorthand typist in the office of the Hastings Borough Council, the Mayor, klr G. F. Roach, states that this was not quite correct, the position being that there were 110 applications from local male youths, although several young women had applied.
