SCATTERED SHOWERS AND COLDER.
The Meteorological Department' s torecast at noon to-day for the following '24 hours was as follows: "The indications are for westerly winds, moderate to strong, and backing by west to soutli and freshening. Increasing liaze and cloudiness may be expected, and later some scattered showers, and the weather will probably become colder. Barometer rising. Seas moderate; tides poor.''
