WESTSHORE SECTIONS.

(To the Editor.) Sir, — Wliat is the objective of th0 • Thirty Thousand Gluh Has the objective changed? I am sure most of your readers will remeniber the time when the. club was agitating For the sub-division qf all avaiiable Crown land i:i this locality. Its ohjection on the score of there not being enough reserves is not warranted, as I am assuied that 15 acres or more have been reserved, including 2;( acres frontiug the inuer har.bour, where the latest Crown sections are surVeyed. Oue must eonclude that the Thirty Thousand Club is acting without ' a knowledge which it should have, and it certainly does not represent the publie in this liiatter. Bnt wliat surpriseg me most is the fact of the Government being practically dictated to by a club, which is evidently out for a Favoured few- I11 these days, when the Govern- ■ nient is repeatedly speaking of economy, wliat an example is this waste or money _ and time 011 a survey whfch looks as if it will he stranped! These sections would have filled a. long-felt want which the people cf moderate means cond have aequired, whilst- it will now become a parking place for a tew favoured ones. Thanldng you in anticipntiop . — J am etc.. "ONE WHO CANNOT PULL _T . STRINGS." Napier, Nov. 29, 1930. ' Jk
