PIGEON-FLYING
NAPIER HOMING CLUB. WELLINGTON FLOCK RACE. The Napier Homing Club held a fiock race from Wellington on Saturday last, 23 birds from six lofts competing. The winner took 4 hours 11 mmutes to fly the distance, 168 miles. The results were : — Alf. Greenaway, vel. 1185.16 yards per minute i W. S. Strother, vel. 1185.04yds. ... 2 L. Holschier, vel. 1181.03yds. 3 W. S. Strotlier, vel. 1178.93yds. ... 4 L. Holschier, vel. 1178.30yds. ... 5 H. B. Trubshoe, vel. 1171yds. ... 6 It Ennor, vel. 1169.60yds 7 On Tuesday piglit birds will be hampered for Invercargill, and on Wednesday for Christchurch, a single up race.
