H.B. DISTRICT COMMITTEE.
The Hawke's Bay District Committee met yesterday in the Jockey Club rooms. Present: Messrs H. A. Russell (chairman), J. H. Colebourne, W. J- Wood, O. E. Twist, G. D. Beatson, F P. Kelly, J. S. McLeod, J. h! Macniven. The N.Z. Racing Conference advised having granted various licenses and referred to the reinstatement" to others' upon obtaining horses to train. • The Auckland -Racing Club advised the suspension of two jockeys for crossing. An application for a grant from the Tramors' and Jockeys' Benevolent Fund was recommended to the trustees. The N.Z. Racing Conference submitted papers in comiection with apprentices and asked the committee to make mquiries as to conditions and terms of employment. Applications for licenses are to he forwarded to the Conference. The programmes of the Poverty Bay Turf Club's _ Summer and Dannevirke Racing Club's Autumn meetings were approved.
