CLEARING SALE
MESSRS DALGETY AND CO. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held a successful dispersal sale on bebalf of tbe Departnxent of Health at Pukeora gauatorium, Waipukurau, 011 Wednesday, when they sold tbe wbole of tbe purebred White Legborn poul-. try, comprising about 1400 birds, together with buildings, plant, etc. There was a good' representative attendance of tbe publie, buvers being present from tbe West Coast, Hastings and Napier, as well as from tbe surrounding districts. There was spirited bidding for tbe poultry, this year's pullets making from 5s to 6s 3d per bead, first year laying birds from 5s to 5s 9d (one buyer taking 400 of tlris line at 5s), second year laying birds from 2s 4d to 3s per bead, and older birds Is 9d to 2s ld each. Ropsters averaged 5s per bead, and a line of cockerels sold at 2s each. The plant and sundries were not so keenly souglit after and wex~e ^disposed of at prices wh ich must be in buyer' s favour. j^VVVVVVVVV^VVV
