CHRISTCHURCH, This day. Described by the police as one of the professional hnemployed, Leo Robert Clark, a painter (22) was remanded this morning to appear on Monday on a charge of stealing goods valued at 2S 6d, the property of Woolworth's, Ltd. c xl "There was not an excuse for the offence," said Chief-Detective Carroll. "He pleaded poveily on his arrest, hut when searched a sum of £64 9s lOd was found in his possession." ' There is too much slioplifting going on," said the magistrate, Mr E. P.
