DAY OF FAREWELL
DOMINION PREMIER LEAVING ENGLAND. Mr Forbes' Final Calls. (Received This Day, 1 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 5. The Ilon. G. W. Forbes, on his. final day of farewell, called on Mr Ramsay MacDonald. He placed a wreath in Westminster Abbey on the tablet to the Empire's million dead. He also interviewcd Sir Evnest Harvey, DhputyGovenior of the Bank of England. Mr Forbes, in a final statement, paid a tribute to the hospitality shown throughout Britain and Ireland. He said that though the Imperial Conference decisions did not go as he hoped, some important decisions were reaclied. Many undecided questions were considered. Personal contacts with puhlic commercial leaders were most valuable. New Zealand sold the bulk of her products to Great Britain, and as a matter of sentiment gave preference through customs, and desired the fullest measure of preference. He higbly appreciated the goodwill New • Zealand and her products enjoved' in Great Britain.
