A sensation has heen cansed in Calcutta by the inurder of LieutenantColonel Simpson, Inspector-General of Prisons, in Bengal, by three young Bengalis, in his office. Mr Nelson, judicial secretary, was wounded. - ... The assailants entered the secretariat buildings, foreed their way into Lieut.-Col. Simpson' s room and fired six shots, killing liim instantly.
