An attempt has been mhde by Mr H. C. Morton, ot the King Country, to compile a sheep dog stud hook, hut the effort has not met with approval from one section of the dog trial cqmmunity. Mr Morton ma'ntains that the hook is to cover both the North and South Islands, and that the effort, therefore, could not be centrolled by any of th© dog trial associations, which have jurisdiction over only one island, hut some of thos© who are antagonistic believe that this should not he a matter for private enterprise.
