UNIONSTEAMSHIP COMPANY DIVIDEND OF SIX PER CENT. FOR THE YEAR.
[BY TELEGRAPH — PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Dunedin, 25th November. The annual meeting of the Union Steam Ship Company was held to-day, the Hon. G. M'Lean presiding. •" The directors' report recommended the payment of a dividend at the rate of 5 per cent, per annum for the six months and a bonus of I per cent, from the insurance fund, which, with a similar interim dividend and bonus paid in May last, makes the total payment for the year 6 per cent. The report and balance - sheet were adopted, and the recommendations of the directors carried unanimous^. The Chairman mentioued that the salvage operations in connection with the stranding of the Mapourika were proceeding satisfactorily, and that in all probability the ship would be ready for launching into the Grey River in the course of a few weeks.
