A SEQUEL TO THE GROSSMAN CASE.
PROFESSOR HASLAM BANKRUPT. [by telegraph.— puess association.] Christchukcf, 25th November. Professor F. W. Haslani, Professor of Classics at the Canterbury College, has filed a petition in bankruptcy. His liabilities amount to £4302 10s. These are guaranteed by ' " J. P. Grossman, and are expected to amount to £1800 when worked out. The total value of the securities is £2294, and the total debts to the secured creditors £2427 7s lid. The furniture, effects, and book debts amount to £210, and the total debts in the estate to £3652 19s lid, leaving a deficiency of £3467 17s Id.
