At a meeting of tho Wangamii Presbytery tho following resolution was carried :—"That tills presbytery, while cherishing tho most friendly feeling towaids all evangelical churches, doc» not think that further prosecution of tho present movement for llu> union of our chuich with tho M«thod»fc and Congregational Churches i» desirable, and recommends that the present movement be terminated, and that Kleps bo taken to secure, wlion possible, united notion on the part of all evangelical churches on public questions of a moral character, such aa Bible reading in schools, temperance and gambling, and also tho minimising of overlapping om the Mrt oi evaivtolical chuicUee.
