Tho Governor of Finland (General Bobrikoffj, addressing tho guimon atSveaborg oulogifcing tho HcJl-sacrilke of the army, invited volunteers for tbo front. Tiuno was no rotpontte, though the call waa repeated. Tho Governor angrily directed as a punishment of tho garrison tho selection of tho mjmber required for service in the Fur East. Similar scenes occurred in othor Finnish garmous. Many protested againbt compulsory tramtpoife to the Far lia&t, and oven had lo be forced into tho railway carriages.
