MELROSE CLUB.

Tho members of tho Mclrosc Club held their seventeenth antnuil meeting at the Britannia Ilotol Inst evening. Tho chnir wav occupied by the President (Mr. <>. P. Pttvne). Tho junior fifteen played eleven matches, won nine, lost two, scored 134 points, and bad 23 points scored ngninot it. Tho toiim won runner-up for the championship, but wan weakened by loss of members who were promoted to tho senior t«am. 'Die third-clntut train played ton matches, won four, lost six,' scored 27 points, and had 70 points scored against it., Tho fourth-chips team played eight matches, lost the lot, scoiodlS points, aud had 114 ."cored ngainxb it. The fifth-chws ream plnyed eight matches, lost teven, and imo w;us dniwn ; no points were pfored uy the team, but 54 points were scored against it. Praise was given to .Mr. G. V. Payne (President), Mr. A. 11. Fullford (Vire-President), und' Mr. 0. Campbell (Club Captain) for assistance during the year.
