The Levin Horticultural,. Produce, and Industrial Society held its spring 'show on 30th November and Ist December. The society is only in its second year, but affords an example of what may be done by those bent qii making progress. The show -was most successful, and included an exhibit by local ■which showed to advantage the goods made and sold in Levin. Cut flowers and pot plants were in profusion, and there were exhibits of needlework of elegant designs. The display of vegetables was remarakblo considering the lateness of the season, -and there was an admirable display of housewives' work. There were also exhibits by nurserymen from other parts.
