H. Baxter, Avho is to be " transferred to New South Wales. The Featherston Golf Club has just had manufactured by Mr. Frank Grady a handsome silver challenge shield,, whkh is to be held by the player scoring the highest pcjgregate during each season in the medal and deck competitions. Mr. G. Femriok (Secretary of the Club) is the first holder of the trophy. The shield, which measures 10m by 9in, contains the club's monogram, lettering setting forth the particulars already given in- this paragraph ; there are reproductions of ferns se decorative effects, and small shields 'for the names of Avinners. The shield is mounted upon polished cedar. The trophy is noAV being exhibited in Mr. Grady'a shop A^indow. Messrs. W. and G.
