HOSPITAL SUNDAY.
ARRANGEMENTS FOR TO-MORROW. The Hospital Sunday demonstration by the Wellington bands is to take place at 3 o'clock to-morrow afternoon on the Basin Reserve. This is, of course, contingent on suitable weather, and, shotfld the atmospheric conditions prove favourable, a flag will be flown from the Post Office towei as an indication that citizens may roll up with their spare change. A collection will ]>c taken up afc the gates by sixteen Hospital nurses, in aid of the Wellington District Hospital. The five bands engaged — Newtown, Central Missioh, Jupp's, Petone, and Wellington Garrison — will assemble in the city and march to the Reserve, wheie they Will meet the Chief Justice, who will opsn the proceedings with an address. The programme is a particularly fine one. By way oi a preliminary, the Central Mission Band will play through the city this evening for a couple of hours, and members of the Wellington Navals will take up collections m aid of the Hospital.
Messrs. George and Karsley advortiso that until further notice their store will be open till 9.30 p.m. on Saturday nights.
