IN -THE , INDUSTRIAL DEPARTMENT. £T is hereby notified that a TEST EXAMINATION of Candidates for appointment as Female Clerks in the INDUSTRIAL DEPARTMENT will be held this month (December) at tho Wellington Office of the Society. The requisite number of Clorks (not exceeding six) will be appointed by. tho Board from among those who are successful in passing this examination. Competitors must havo attained the age of 16 years and bp less than 21 yoars of age, md will bo required to pass a satisfactory examination in tho following • subjects: — Jl) Arithmetic (including vulgar and decimal fractions); (2) Handwriting; (3) Dictation; (\) Reading Aloud. Tho successful candidates will algo require to undergo a sai_factory modical examination, and mtist be prepared 'to enter into articles to serve the Society for three years.
