CORPORATION EMPLOYEES PICNIC.

The annual picnic- of the Corporation employees was held at the Railway I Grounds, Upper Hutt, on Saturday. A 1 special train from Te Aro, leaving at 9.30 a.m.,^"conveyed about 700 persons 1 to the picnic, and a most enjoyable day's 1 outing was spent. Throwing 161b shot, Calnan, 1 ; Home, 2. Three-legged race, Tibbet and Hill, 1; M'Nally and Tibbet, 2. General hands (No. 3), Thomas, 1 ; Calloway, 2. Bicycle race, Lancaster, 1; Ridding, 2.
