NOTICE is hereby given that a Poll of Ratepayers, including all persons entitled to voto on proposals to raise loan*, will bo taken at tho Oddfellows' Hall, Petone, on TUESDAY, the 6th day of December, 1904, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., upon the following proposal : — A proposal to raise the sum of £8000 by way of loan for the purposes ot enlarging the gasmaking plant and extending the gas inuius of the Corporation Gasworks of the Petono Borough, which sum is proposed to be raised on the security of the Gasworks or other lighting plant, subject tor special loans of £8500 (1899;, £2000 (1901), £8000 (1902), and a further security of a Special Rate of Threepence Farthing (31d) in the £ sterling on the annual ratable value of all the ratable property within the said Borough of Petone. "IVTOTICE is hereby given that the fol- •*■ lowing resolution was passed by way of Special Order at a Special Meeung of tho Onslow Borough Council, held on MONDAY, tho 21st day of November, 1904: — That this Council hereby resolves by Special Order to raise a loan of £300,. for the purpose of paying off the proportion duo by the Borough of Onslow of the cost of reconstructing the Hutt-road under Section 5 of "The Hutt Road Act, 1903," and also to strike a rate of three-fourteenths of a penny in the £ on the unimproved value of all ratable proper^ within the Borough to pay interest and sinking fund on the said loan.
