THE NGAIO CLUB.
The Ngaio Club's annual handicap tourney has been won by Mr. 1 H. L. James, who is well known in New Zealand chess circlesj.he having won several prizes at championship congresses (including two Brilliancy prizes). His score on this occasion is eight wins and one loss. Mr. A. B. Topp comes next with 7-2, and Mr. Lindeay with 6-2 and one to play. The various winners of the Ngaio Club's annual. tourney are as follow:—1913, H. V. Croxton; 1914, A. B. Topp; 1915, D. Wild; 1916; A. B. Topp; 1917, P. J. Brooker; and 1918, H. L. James.
